The Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) is seeking individuals to participate as volunteers in its grant-review process for workforce and economic development competitive grant programs. Reviewers evaluate proposals and make funding recommendations for non-profit organizations to address economic disparities in Minnesota. DEED will reimburse reviewers for mileage and parking (as approved and authorized by the current
Commissioner’s Plan). Reviewer responsibilities include:
- Attend a webinar (or in-person) training on the grant review process.
- Complete and sign a Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form.
- Evaluate up to 20 proposals (over a two-week period) using State guidelines and forms.
- Participate in a panel review with other reviewers to determine funding recommendations.
- Maintain confidentiality of the proposals and process.
- Provide feedback on the review process.
The application to become a grant reviewer will close on August 29, 2017.
